Google Search Ads are supposed to be the most controllable, predictable channel in paid media. But for most businesses, that control disappears fast. Not because Search Ads are broken, but because they’re managed in ways that prioritize platform recommendations over business outcomes.
Search Ads don’t fail overnight. They slowly leak money until the channel feels “unreliable”.
That’s why our approach to Search Ads starts before bids, match types, or automation. It starts with intent, economics, and clarity.
These three feed each other: noisy intent trains the bidding on noise, and lead quality pays the price.
Four principles, applied in this order.
We don’t group keywords by convenience. We group them by what the searcher is trying to do.
Intent clarity is what keeps performance stable as budgets grow.
Search Ads only work when control is deliberate.
This is how we prevent good traffic from being drowned out by bad traffic.
Most accounts optimize for actions that look good in dashboards but don’t translate into revenue.
Because if conversion data is wrong, everything built on top of it collapses.
Automation isn’t the enemy. Blind automation is.
Until then, control beats convenience.
We would rather tell you that in the audit than after you have signed.
If your sales team doesn’t trust your leads, your search strategy is the problem, not the market.
Every step exists to answer one question: is this campaign earning its budget?
We audit keywords, intent layers, structure, and conversion signals to identify where control has been lost.
We restructure campaigns around intent, economics, and clean data.
We stabilize CPA or lead quality before touching scale.
Budgets increase only when performance is repeatable and predictable.
Good search campaigns don’t feel chaotic. They feel:

Spend becomes intentional. Lead quality improves. Scaling decisions stop being guesses. That’s the goal.

Straight answers on match types, structure, bidding, wasted spend, lead quality, and what we will not do.
Neither by rule. Match type follows the bidding strategy and the data you have. When there is enough conversion volume, broad match with Smart Bidding is our default. For new accounts, low-volume campaigns, limited budgets and very niche B2B markets, we start with exact and phrase, then test broad match in a 50/50 campaign experiment before rolling it out.
Consolidation first. We group keywords by the message they need, not by keyword similarity: if one responsive search ad can credibly serve all of them, they belong together. We only split campaigns when you need a different budget, bid strategy, target or conversion goal.
When the foundations are in place: clean conversion data, enough volume and economics we understand. As a guide, target CPA works best with roughly 30 or more conversions a month and target ROAS with roughly 50 or more. Below that, we concentrate spend on known high-intent queries and use portfolio bidding across campaigns where it helps.
Every account gets shared negative keyword lists for irrelevant terms, poor performers and, on non-brand campaigns, your own brand terms. We review search terms on a cadence matched to spend, weekly for high-spend campaigns and monthly for low-spend ones, and run N-gram analysis to catch patterns like “free” or “jobs” that look small term by term but add up. When in doubt, we do not exclude: we let the data confirm it first.
We set up offline conversion tracking on every lead-generation account, whatever the volume. Leads are tied back to real outcomes such as qualified leads and closed deals using the Google click ID, enhanced conversions for leads, or both. Smart Bidding then learns from qualified leads or closed deals instead of raw form fills. If your sales cycle is longer than Google’s 90-day upload window, we import the earliest meaningful stage inside it.
Not by default. We keep auto-apply switched off, review recommendations monthly and apply only the ones that fit your strategy. Optimization score measures how closely an account follows Google’s suggestions, not how well it performs for your business.
Google Ads improvements don’t come from quick hacks. They come from fixing structure, intent alignment, and tracking accuracy. In many cases, performance improvements begin within the first few weeks after restructuring. However, meaningful scale only happens after efficiency is proven and stable.
No. No one can ethically guarantee specific results in paid advertising, because performance depends on market conditions, offer strength, competition, pricing, and sales process. What we do guarantee is structured, intentional account management, transparency in reporting, and decisions tied to real business economics.
